Santa
Maria di Catellabate is the biggest hamlet of Castellabate.
It is very loved by tourists that come to National
Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano. The town offers many facilities
to tourists: hotels, b&bs and flats.
In the area between Punta Tresino and Punta
Licosa there
are rocky beaches and sandy beaches with a crystalline
uncontaminated sea. The sea has received many times the
blue flag from FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education).
Fishing is an important economic resource.
The ancient part of the town is very interesting and deserves
a visit: there are nice shops and several noble palaces.
During the summer there are several feasts: for example
the one dedicated to Our Lady, the patron.
